Monks brought this stretching and massage technique from China via India to the area of today's Thailand. It is believed that the monks used these techniques to relax their tense muscles after long meditations.
Yoga stretching is combined with a kind of acupressure treatment. The stretching releases the muscles and helps the blood circulation. The acupressure on special lines will give the body new energy.
